Overview
Rapid response grants for urgent living expenses
Our crisis grants offer rapid assistance to help residents of TW9, TW10, SW13, and SW14 facing urgent living expenses. Depending on household composition, grants range from £300 per year for adult-only households, up to £500 for households with one dependent, and up to £600 for households with two or more dependents. Please note, we only accept applications through referral agencies. If you’re in need, reach out to our trusted referral agencies listed below. How we assess
your application
Crisis grant criteria for referral agencies and partners
Our crisis grants are available to support referral agencies assisting individuals facing urgent financial hardship. To apply for a crisis grant on behalf of a client, the following criteria must be met:
- Client is a resident in TW9, TW10, SW13, SW14 or is a Richmond care leaver
- Client has not received our maximum Crisis Grant in the past 12 months
- Your organisation is a trusted partner with knowledge of the individual’s circumstances and needs
- You have confirmed eligibility and applied for alternative grants, such as LB Richmond Household Support Grant or Local Assistance Grant, before submitting a Richmond Foundation Crisis Grant application
- The Crisis Grant is for urgent living costs, including furniture, white goods, household items, living expenses, rent, debt, utilities, removal costs, and other categories, subject to an assessment and on a case by case basis
